My son Aaron was a pallbearer for his friend, Trooper Darryl Caswell, who was killed in Afghanistan on 11 June 2007 and is pictured on the front left side in this photo.
We are Mothers of Soldiers, in particular we are Mothers of Canadian Soldiers.
Our sons and daughters went to Afghanistan because they believed in the mission and they believed that they were going to make a difference. That is why young Canadians join the military. They are patriots, they are courageous, they care and they are willing to make sacrifices for the greater good.
How has this impacted Canadians? Mothers.........what are your concerns?
I speak from experience as a 21 year military veteran. That's why I started this website "Mothers of Canadian Soldiers" ... as a forum for discussion on Facebook as well as a living tribute to those hero's who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their beliefs. Our children have returned from Afghanistan physically and emotionally injured. We support their career decision and we are there for support through the difficult times.
We are proud "Mothers of Canadian Soldiers"
